The Grand Duke presents the Luxembourg American Business Award to the CEO of Plastipak

The Luxembourg American Business Awards 2026 ceremony took place this Tuesday in New York, in the presence of H.R.H. the Grand Duke, marking a traditional occasion to celebrate transatlantic economic relations. The Head of State presented this distinction to the American company “Plastipak”, in recognition of its commitment to Luxembourg through its subsidiary “LuxPET”, based in Käerjeng.

In his address, His Royal Highness praised the trust placed in the Grand Duchy, as well as the sustained development of the group’s activities since its establishment. He notably highlighted the company’s key role in the fields of recycling and the circular economy.

Ahead of the Business Award, the Grand Duke also presented two honorary distinctions to Messrs. Fernand Lamesch and Leonard Levie, in recognition of their long-standing contributions to strengthening relations between Luxembourg and the United States.
