Courtesy visits of TT.HH.RR. the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess

Following the Accession to the Throne, Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess, accompanied by Mr Xavier Bettel, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, will undertake a series of courtesy visits to neighbouring countries of the Grand Duchy, as well as to our Benelux partners.

These visits aim to strengthen the historical, political and cultural ties that unite Luxembourg with its immediate neighbours, in a spirit of mutual respect and enhanced cooperation.

Their Royal Highnesses will thus make their first official visit abroad on Friday, 24 October, in Brussels, where they will be officially received by Their Majesties the King and Queen of the Belgians.

On Monday, 27 October, Their Royal Highnesses will travel to Berlin, where they will be received at Bellevue Palace by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany and Mrs Elke Büdenbender.
