Child Protection and Neuroscience
The Grand Duchess has a particular interest in child protection and neuroscience:
This is not just a scientific or medical issue; it touches on the very essence of our society: our children, our families, our future. As the mother of two young boys, I pay particular attention to this crucial period of their childhood. This is where it all begins - an extraordinary adventure in which every interaction, every emotion, every experience helps to build the foundations of their development, the very foundations on which their adult lives will rest.

Her interests span all fields of art - from ancient to contemporary, painting to the decorative arts, fine crafts, and photography.
In 2016, she assumed the presidency of the board of directors of the Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean (MUDAM). At the conclusion of her mandate in 2021, she accepted the role of Honorary President honoured to remain closely associated with the museum.

Concerned by the decline of traditional craftsmanship in Europe and in Luxembourg, Princess Stéphanie and Prince Guillaume organised an exhibition in 2016 aimed at revitalising the Luxembourgish crafts sector.
Following the great success of this first edition, they decided to continue their commitment to creators and artisans by launching the association De Mains de Maîtres Luxembourg the following year. The exhibition has since become a recurring event in the form of a biennale, which also highlights the craftsmanship of different guest countries in each edition.
The association De Mains de Maîtres Luxembourg remains highly active in its mission to support artisans, organising international exhibitions, awarding scholarships, hosting pop-up stores, and more - all with the aim of supporting established professionals in the field while encouraging young people to take up the challenge of artistic craftsmanship.

Interests and Hobbies
The Grand Duchess has always nurtured a keen interest in classical music. From an early age, with the encouragement of her parents, she studied music theory and learned to play the piano, later taking up the violin. As a teenager, she developed a passion for reading. Her study of foreign languages enabled her to discover and enjoy classical authors in their original languages.
Since the birth of Prince Charles and Prince François, Grand Duchess Stéphanie has embraced her role as a mother with great joy. She particularly cherishes the simple, intimate moments spent with her family. Deeply committed to this responsibility, she and her husband wish to raise their sons with an education grounded in the family values and spirit of respect that they share.
