Last days of the working visit to the East Coast of the United States

On Wednesday evening in New York, H.R.H. the Hereditary Grand Duke awarded the Luxembourg-American Business Award to the American company RedWire, in recognition of its innovative approach to the manufacture of in-orbit space products.

The Prince praised Redwire's involvement and contribution to the development of the space industry in Luxembourg:

We gather here to honour Redwire's trust and confidence in Luxembourg by contributing to the diversification and prosperity of our economy. Your company is an excellent example for a successful implementation of Luxembourg's commercial Space development strategy.

Together with Vice-Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, the Hereditary Grand Duke took part earlier in the day to a conference organised by the Luxembourg Space Agency to further develop the cooperation in this sector. Meetings with the directors of Redwire and AIAC (American Industrial Acquisition Corporation) - which includes EuroFoil (aluminium industry) - were also on the agenda.

The visit concluded, on Thursday in Wilmington, with a meeting at DuPont's headquarters (a specialist in industrial materials).
