Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie's wedding: the religious ceremony
H.R.H. Prince Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg, married Countess Stéphanie de Lannoy in a religious ceremony. The ceremony, presided over by H.E. Jean-Claude Hollerich S.J., Archbishop of Luxembourg, took place in the Notre-Dame Cathedral of Luxembourg in the presence of the members of the respective families, and among others, of the constituted bodies of the State, monarchs and representatives of foreign monarchies and states. The public was also invited to take part in the ceremonies.

At the end of the religious ceremony, the couple appeared on the balcony of the Grand Ducal Palace, exchanged the traditional kiss of the newlyweds, before joining the reception. In the afternoon, musical entertainment was offered by the City of Luxembourg throughout the city centre.

In the evening, from the Dräi Eechelen, Prince Guillaume and Princess Stéphanie, together with the jubilant public, were watching fireworks lighting up the skies. Finally, on the Place Guillaume II, the City of Luxembourg had offered two soul music concerts performed by the Belgian singer-songwriter Selah Sue and the Luxembourg multi-cultural group Funky P.
